Complete user guide for the ProductionInterne module

Service Production Configuration

Overview

The ProductionInterne module now allows you to manage production on services in addition to physical products. This feature can be enabled and configured in the module's administration interface.

Available Configuration Options

  • Enable production on services

    • Allows the inclusion of services in internal production processes (orders, tracking, notifications, etc.).
    • Disabled: only physical products are affected.
  • Default supply mode (Services)

    • Defines whether services are considered "internal" or "external" by default when added to a production.
    • Can be customized for each service individually.
  • Default production warehouse (Services)

    • Specifies the warehouse used for the logistical management of produced services.
    • Important for stock tracking and planning.
  • Default production delay (Services)

    • Number of days applied by default for the completion of a produced service.
    • Can be modified when creating each production.

How It Works

  • When the option is enabled, services appear in selection lists and can be the subject of production orders.
  • The default values defined in the configuration are automatically applied when creating a new service production.
  • If the option is disabled, no service can be selected in production processes.

Best Practices

  • Ensure that translations are present for each option in all supported languages.
  • Document for end users the impact of each option (see examples above).
  • Adapt user training if service management differs from that of physical products.

Example Usage

  1. Enable production on services in the module configuration menu.
  2. Create a new production order: services are then available in the list of selectable items.
  3. The fields "supply mode", "warehouse", and "delay" are pre-filled according to the configuration but can be adapted on a case-by-case basis.
